In order to further promote the exchange among the young partner lawyers in Gulou District,improve their competence,and bring the relationship among the law firms closer,Gulou District"Young Partner"Lawyers Exchange Meeting was held in the afternoon of December 25,2019.The Meeting was organized by the Education and Training Department of Nanjing Gulou District Lawyers Association,and supported by Gaopeng&Partners Nanjing Office.Lei LIU,Deputy Director of Justice Bureau of Gulou District,Wei ZHAO,Deputy Secretary of Gulou District Lawyers Party Committee,Zhi QIAN,Vice President of Nanjing Lawyers Association,Xinpeng NIE,Director of Gulou District Lawyers Committee,Yunlong LAI,Subdirector of Gulou District Lawyers Committee,Jinling ZHANG,Deputy Director of Gulou District Lawyers Committee,etc.attended the Meeting at the invitation.The Meeting was chaired by Hao KUANG.

Director of the Education and Training Department of Gulou District Lawyers Committee and Senior Partner of our Law Firm.At the beginning of the Meeting,Vice President Zhi QIAN made an inspirational keynote speech,stressing that lawyers should focus on improving the professional competence,for example,master the jurisprudence expertise and have a full understanding of the legal system.He also noted that partner lawyers should be stricter with themselves and further improve their competence which mainly requires working extensively in this industry and accumulating industrial experience.

Afterwards,Peifang SHI of Gaopeng&Partners Nanjing Office,Pei XU,Lawyer of Dentons Nanjing Office,Yunming LI,Lawyer of Guantao Law Firm Nanjing Office,and Tianbao MA,Lawyer of Zhong Yin Law Firm Nanjing Office all put forwarded their own perception and opinions as representatives of young partners.They all said that while conducting business,to improve the professional competence is the first priority,but team building and building self-confidence are also crucial.In addition,they also noted that young lawyers should pay attention to innovation and advance with the times during this process.The views shared by senior lawyers and representatives encouraged positive discussion among the lawyers present.In the free talk session,the lawyers spoke actively,talking about their true feelings and personal experience since they started to work as a lawyer.In their careers,there are hardships as well as valuable experience accumulated through practice.With the belief in the law,they are committed to becoming excellent professional lawyers.In this session,apart from learning from each other and drawing lessons from the experience,the participants also discussed how to become an"outstanding lawyer in the new era"and how to better train the new generation of young lawyers.

In the end,Director Xinpeng NIE precisely summarized this Meeting,noting that a qualified partner lawyer should possess professionalism featuring rigorousness and meticulousness,the spirit of diligence and dedication,and the ability for overall planning and adhere to professional ethics and bottom lines,which offered a correct and standard guidance for the lawyers to become better partners.
